Onsite SEO
Google use a math algorithm to display results yet almost every SEO company out there just guess on what to put on the page. They say will I think we need 800 words, add a H1, maybe lets add 2 H2’s and one or two pics.
To me that is laughable. If your hire a company and they are not using Cora, Page Optimizer Pro, or Surfer than you should fire your SEO company becuase they are just guessing. All of these tool do a statistical analysis of your keyword to know what to add to the site. Cora is the most advanced of these options and is unrivaled in Onsite SEO.
“Cora SEO Software is the top level expert level SEO Diagnostics tool that measures up to 2040 ranking factors and identifies the strongest ones and tells you exactly how much of each one your page needs!”
SEO Traffic
Traffic can significantly impact SEO (Search Engine Optimization), as it is one of the key metrics that search engines like Google consider when determining the relevance and quality of a website.
There are several types of traffic
- Direct to your site
- GMB interaction traffic
- Google search traffic
- Social
- Everything else
The big one in this group that is helping you appear in the maps and expand the area you serve is people interacting with your Google Maps Profile. This can include just a click on it, driving directions, leaving a review, calling, and many other things. Increasing this will give you a major boost to your rankings when done correctly.
Local SEO Link Building is not as strong anymore
When Google started out it was very accurate because links were a better way to judge that a site was relevant for a search term. Google thought was instead of looking at all of the idiots out there keyword stuffing a site why don’t we look at votes and therefore look at the links. So that worked and is still part of some of the algorithms today.
The primary reason links have lost strength is Google doesn’t want you to leave their site. Ok yes, there is the proximity part of the equation but the bottom line is Google has devalued both onsite and link building because they trust interactions more on there site than what they see on the web. They want to see people doing driving directions leaving reviews, and other things you can do while interacting on Google’s site and those things left you up more than anything right now. Now saying all this let’s go back to the fact that we change our SEO up all the time. Historically link building has been a top 3 factor. When working on your site if we do not feel that your link building is in line for shifts in Google’s local SEO algorithm we will build links. Future-proofing your SEO is a major part of our local SEO program. Just because it’s not the top today who knows what Google is going to do tomorrow.
Reviews
Reviews are a ranking factor, and they are big, BUT it’s not the number of reviews. Yes, keywords help, but so does sentiment words like “good job.” The reason 800 reviews can beat is what is said in the reviews and also why 100 reviews can beat 1,000. I am sure you get many emails saying they can post reviews but never do this. They may post for a while, but they will get taken down and are also known in the industry to get your GMB suspended. The best way to get more reviews is to use an image link at the top of the site and send out sms or email to get reviews.
